The original musicals "Yang Jian", "Wukong", and "Ao Guang" were all directed and choreographed by Liu Xiaoyi. "Wukong" tells the story of a stone monkey who grows up in the darkness between heaven and earth. He wandered alone in the East China Sea, intending to resist the tyrannical Dragon King. In the end, he took a desperate gamble to outcompete the dark world. In 2020, "Wukong" premiered and toured multiple locations, and the drama is expected to return in 2024 to meet the audience again. "Yang Jian" tells the story of the god of clouds and clouds who cannot tolerate the cold sky, falling in love with mortals in the mountains and seas. That night, Yang Jian was born out of love. He was supposed to live an ordinary life, but he had a unique third eye. The drama will premiere in Shanghai at the end of 2023.

On the day of the event, the audience's response was extremely enthusiastic, saying, "The songs sung by these actors are so beautiful." "It's my first time listening to live performances by musical actors. I hope there can be more such activities.". It is reported that the "New National Style" musical series brand has performed original plays such as musicals "Wukong", "Southern Tang Empress", and "Southern Wall Plan", which have toured nearly 100 times nationwide. In the next three years, the brand will gradually produce six original musical works and develop two well-known IPs, creating more stylized, personalized, and youthful works.
