On July 18th, Cui Zhonghui took a walk after dinner as usual and when he reached the Du Hang Ferry near his home, he suddenly saw a group of people gathered by the Huangpu River. As he approached, he found a drowning person floating and sinking about 20 meters away from the shore. Without hesitation, Cui Zhonghui jumped into the Huangpu River and worked hard to pull the female diver to the shore. At that time, the person who fell into the water was already in a coma, and Cui Zhonghui performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her again. It was not until 120 ambulances and the person's family arrived to confirm that someone was taking care of the person that Cui Zhonghui quietly left.
After 5 days of emergency rescue, the person who fell into the water with a lung infection was finally out of danger. Cui Zhonghui grew up in Henan and joined the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe in 2000. Currently, he is an equestrian performer in "Happy Circus". After attending the summer training in the morning, he is used to brushing horses and giving them a shower during lunchtime. When asked about his thoughts on saving people that day, Cui Zhonghui said that "Happy Circus" is mainly aimed at parent-child families, so unlike most performances arranged at night, "Happy Circus" is performed during the day, which has helped him develop a fixed habit of taking a walk at the Du Hang Ferry after dinner.
Acrobats have stronger physical fitness than ordinary people, but Cui Zhonghui admits that saving people consumes far more physical energy than he imagined. The Duhang Ferry, located in Minhang District, is close to the Minpu Bridge. The Huangpu River is five or six meters deep, and the drowning person is struggling and floating 20 meters offshore. Afterwards, Cui Zhonghui had a fleeting thought, "What if I can't get up?" But at that time, he jumped into the water without hesitation and his leg was scratched by debris in the river, bleeding profusely. The feeling of stepping on the mud and struggling to move towards the shore, as the shore approached, is still vivid in his memory. "When I jumped into the river, I thought about quickly pulling people ashore. I didn't think too much, maybe if I thought too much, I wouldn't dare to jump anymore."

"The drowning person is in her early twenties and comes from Hunan. She only came to Shanghai during the summer vacation. She is about the same age as my child. After experiencing this life and death test, she told me that after having a second life, she knows how to cherish the beauty of life." Cui Zhonghui said.
