Recognize another "relative", pick vegetables and fruits, eat rice on the stove, and "cultural walk" to Shanghai's rural Aifei Liji | Culture | Vegetables and Fruits
Living in the city, how long has it been since you got close to the fields and countryside? How long has it been since you had a delicious farmhouse stove meal? Recently, Fudan alumni initiated a public welfare team called "Ai Fei Li Qi Culture Walk" to come to Xinmiao Village, Kangqiao Town, Pudong New Area. They picked vegetables and fruits, ate stove meals, and set up camping tents. Several urban families who participated in the walk also formed "relatives" with rural families in Xinmiao Village.
Two years ago, the "Aifeiliqi Cultural Walk" first visited Xinmiao Village and established the "Xinmiao Aifeiliqi Cultural Walk Station". Qiu Feng, the first secretary of the Xinmiao Village Party Branch, Hua Biao, the vice president of the Fudan University Alumni Association, and Chen Yin, the initiator of the Aifeiliqi public welfare cultural brand, jointly unveiled the establishment of the station. Two years later, everyone came here again and felt the amazing changes in Xinmiao Village.
Cultural Walk Station
In June, the newly planted rice fields were lush green, echoing the theme wall painting of Xinmiao Village with the endless rice fields. Combining the unique rice fragrance culture of Xinmiao Village, a professional team has created a colorful wall painting with the theme of "The Life of Xiaomi" and the theme of Chinese classical mythology and legends. Here, we have also built an agricultural science popularization hall and a stove culture experience hall, showcasing the unique agricultural culture and stove culture of the new seedlings, fully showcasing the culture and charm contained in the countryside. The unique rural living room of Xinmiao not only houses a rural memory museum that records the development process of Xinmiao Village, but also opens up a rural book house for rural residents to relax their minds.
The first citizen who came to Xinmiao Village, "Spring," said, "Living in Shanghai, I always thought that nature is far away from us, and poetry and distance are elsewhere. I didn't expect that rural life could be reached by taking the subway." The "Walking Relatives, Fruits and Vegetables to Home" project launched by Xinmiao Village and the Aifeiliqi Public Welfare Organization is also a beautiful rural public welfare empowerment action. Mr. Chen, a citizen who followed the "cultural walk" to Xinmiao Village, picked seasonal grapes and small tomatoes in the orchard, and also purchased a summer fruit and vegetable tasting card.
Chen Yin introduced that since May 2020, Aifeiliqi has regularly organized public welfare cultural walking activities, focusing on four main themes: urban texture, urban new appearance, urban green lungs, and urban pulse. They lead participants to visit the streets and alleys of Shanghai, and appreciate the cultural and natural charm of the city. Over 30 cultural walks have covered all districts of Shanghai, with a total of nearly 30000 visitors and over 100000 kilometers traveled.
