The stage play "Awakening Era" was written by Yu Rongjun and directed by He Nian. Han Xiuyi played Li Dazhao and Gu Xin played Chen Duxiu. The drama officially started a two month national tour in May, and has toured to Hangzhou, Suzhou, Hefei, Nanjing, and Xi'an. Each tour attracted audiences of different age groups and received enthusiastic responses. Some viewers expressed that "I am fortunate to have caught up with this summer and have added another source of comfort in my spiritual world", "strongly recommend taking children to watch together", and "good works that can resonate with people from different eras". The production team also carries out a variety of extended activities, including creative meetings, sharing sessions, and backstage tours.

In the darkness, above the ground, sparks flickered, and the four words "Awakening Age" were prominently projected onto the rusty iron plate. Two 7.5 meter high fully mechanical CNC turntables slowly unfolded, with hazy smoke surrounding them. A group of young actors revealed the confusing situation of China in the early 20th century through their tense body language. At the critical moment of national life and death, as well as the survival of the country, they ignited the passion and hope of a group of righteous people, influencing a large number of promising young people who are determined to save the country and the people.

The fully mechanical turntable is transformed into different spaces based on the performance of the actors, which can rotate and climb, and has both assumption and fluidity. Combined with multimedia projection of different scenes, it closely follows the plot and moves with the actors. The large turntable room features unique pens, ink, paper, and inkstones from that era, as well as touching scenes of passion and grandeur on campus. The interplay of light and shadow creates a grand historical background on one side of the stage, while also conveying a strong humanistic atmosphere. The design of the "rain" and "snow" installations on stage has always been talked about, with "rain in Shanghai" and "snow in Beijing" adding a strong poetic and atmospheric atmosphere to the plot. The use of elements such as lanterns and flames appears particularly bright in the dark, with beams of light reaching directly into the heart. The rotation of the wall, overlapping images, and complementary lighting create a special texture.
