The "Su Ren Cure Plan" exhibition, hosted by the China Art Palace, will be held from July 20th to September 17th. Five groups of six non art professionals, leveraging the rich collection resources of the Chinese Art Palace, led the curation of art exhibitions, ultimately presenting a unique and distinctive exhibition with distinct personal characteristics.
The "amateur curation plan" is recommended by the professional team of the art museum through daily communication and internal discussions. Finally, five groups of six people are selected for the plan, and they plan their own independent exhibition parts as curators. The five groups of curators do not have an artistic background, but they all have their own unique understanding of art.
The curation theme of intensive care unit nurse Jin Yijing is "turning ordinary into a beautiful painting.". The curation theme of registered analyst Pan Minli is "Art is the K-line diagram of life". Retired teacher Gao Xiaomei's curation theme is "To have a source of fresh water.". The curation theme of university professors Zhou Junhe and Zheng Jing is "Chasing the Light". The curation theme of property manager Wang Jianping is "My City". With the assistance of curators in the Chinese Art Palace, five groups of curators selected a total of 72 works from nearly 20000 collections based on their respective curatorial themes. The exhibits include various art forms such as Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, watercolor painting, sculpture, photography, comic strips, and folk art. Jin Yijing said, "I planned this exhibition and selected works purely based on my own intuition. How busy and busy my work is, how sunny, warm, and peaceful the paintings I have chosen are, which is also the beauty of contrast in art." Pan Minli said, "Because of this exhibition, I stopped my steps, reminisced and pondered on one after another of the voiceovers and inner words in life."
As the only national key art museum in Shanghai, the China Art Museum is actively promoting the "Big Art Museum Plan" to help ordinary people achieve their artistic dreams. With the opening of the first season of the "amateur curation plan" exhibition, the recruitment of amateur curators for the second season is about to begin. It is reported that the recruitment and selection for the second season will continue to dig deeper on the basis of the first season, searching for citizens from different industry backgrounds through multiple channels to serve as curators, planning their own exhibitions with the rich collection of the Chinese Art Palace, and sharing their artistic insights.
