Moved tenor singer Wei Song, a children's concert, Cloud Art Center opens Art Center | Children | tenor
On June 23rd, the Cloud Art Center located on Kangding Road in Shanghai officially opened with the song "Xuancao Flower" by the Doll Children's Choir. The opening concert is the children's own stage, where they sang Chinese and foreign songs such as "Silent Night Thoughts", "The Dancing Cat", and "The Water is Wide". 10-year-old Li Yuran also performed his piano and cello work "Crystal Sunset" with Jiang Chongxi. The pure and beautiful singing of the children moved the tenor singer Wei Song who came to the scene. Wei Song said, "The children's performances were very exciting, and I hope the Cloud Art Center can cultivate more singers like Grandpa Wei."
The children of the Doll Children's Choir took the stage.
In the past two years, the children of the Doll Children's Choir have appeared on stage at the Shanghai Symphony Concert Hall and the Oriental Art Center. They have also performed with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded children's choir parts for singer Yi Nengjing's new album. With the opening of the Cloud Art Center, children will have the opportunity to receive more guidance from musicians and gain better musical enlightenment.
Let children sing freely
The children of the Doll Children's Choir have a pure and innocent singing voice, and their performance is naturally relaxed. Some people say, "These children sing freely, like the sound of heaven, reminding people of 'Spring in the Cowherd Class'."

Liu Shutong, founder of Yunduo Art Center and associate professor of vocal music at Shanghai Normal University School of Music, believes that children's music enlightenment and song selection are very important. In the repertoire of the Doll Children's Choir, there are not only Chinese and English works, but also works in Italian, German, and Russian, nourishing children with multiple languages and musical styles.
Soprano Liu Shutong sang "I Love This Land".
In February of this year, at the special concert of "Liu Shutong and Her Children" at the Oriental Art Center, the children sang Chinese and foreign songs such as "Children are the Future of the World", "Star Canon", "Lotus Picking Ballad", as well as Shanghai dialect nursery rhymes such as "Weeping Candle Bag" and "Shake to Grandmother's Bridge".
"Nowadays, children often come into contact with some 'divine songs' through short videos. The melody is very routine and brainwashing, and children quickly learn it. And you will find that when a song is popular, all children are singing the same song. We hope to teach children to listen to and sing the most beautiful children's voice works in the world through careful selection, and improve their horizons and appreciation from a young age," said Liu Shutong.
At the official opening concert of the Cloud Art Center, Liu Shutong performed a song called "I Love This Land" on stage. The children of the Doll Children's Choir also sing many works full of Chinese style, for example, they have performed ancient poetry and songs such as "Silent Night Thoughts" and "Climbing the Stork Tower" on different stages.

As a mother of two children, Liu Shutong does not want her children to become "adults like", but rather wants to preserve their innocence and not use too many rules to hinder their freedom and nature. "I used to hope to be a professional children's choir, but now, I think it's more important for children to sing sincerely and happily here. We need to slow down, wait for their growth, patiently nurture them, and they will give us unexpected surprises."
Encourage more artists to enlighten children
The Doll Children's Choir is divided into "Seed Troupe" aged 3-6, "Seedling Troupe" aged 5-7, "Little Flower Troupe" aged 6-9, and "Little Tree Troupe" aged 8-12, gradually advancing and eventually having the opportunity to enter the Cloud Academy of Performing Arts. There, children can enter the Doll Chamber Choir, Cloud Music Theatre, or Cloud Chamber Orchestra. This year, the first "Master Season" of Yunduo Academy of Performing Arts will also invite soprano singer Yang Guang and musical director Mike Schnaker to teach children.
Tenor singer Wei Song and calligrapher Xu Mei awarded scholarships to the children.
Yang Guang was once the first Asian resident singer at the Chicago Lyric Opera House, and also the only double champion of the Cardiff Vocal Contest and the Domingo Vocal Contest to date. She will attend a vocal master class for children studying art at the Academy of Performing Arts. Mike Schnak teaches at the Department of Music and Rhythm at the National University of Music and Performing Arts of Vienna and the Department of Musical Theatre at the University of Music and Arts of Vienna. He is also active on the world stage as a director, conductor, pianist, and musical performer. He will rehearse classic music plays for the children of the Cloud Music Theatre.

"Having such good teachers and a great music atmosphere since childhood is very precious for children. Moreover, at such a sensitive age, children are fortunate to receive the nourishment of music and learn to cooperate, listen, and appreciate each other through music." said one parent.
In July this year, the Doll Children's Choir will attend a concert at the Welbier Music Festival in Switzerland and will also make their debut on the stage at the famous KKL Music Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland. Although it is not a formal performance, children can sing ancient Chinese poetry and songs in the famous music hall. Liu Shutong hopes that on the world stage, children can tell Chinese stories and spread Chinese culture to the world through singing.
Liu Shutong said, "I hope the Cloud Art Center can sow a seed of music in the hearts of children. Throughout life, people will always encounter difficulties and obstacles. I hope that music and love will accompany them, allowing them to find an outlet and have a rich spiritual world."
