As a literary "light cavalry", micro fiction has a long and rich history. In the current era of online dissemination and fragmented reading, micro fiction is even more popular among readers due to its characteristics of being small yet refined, small yet beautiful, and small yet elegant.

The 2nd China Micro Novel Theory Award Ceremony and the Launching Ceremony of Chinese Writer Hai Shuxing were recently held in Ningbo. After intense competition, three researchers, Yao Chaowen, Yuan Long, and Hou Deyun, won the Second China Micro Novel Theory Award. It is worth mentioning that this year's selection has added a "Theoretical Contribution Award" to recognize old editors, professors, and writers who have made outstanding contributions to the development of micro fiction. They are Jiang Zengpei, Liu Haitao, Yang Xiaomin, Ling Huanxin, Gu Jianxin, Ling Dingnian, and Xie Zhiqiang.

The award-winning works of the Second China Micro Novel Theory Award not only provide a systematic, scientific, and comprehensive demonstration of the aesthetic characteristics and creative laws of micro novels, but also compare and study Chinese micro novels from different perspectives such as literary style, literature, and culture. Additionally, they provide a multi perspective, multi-level, and multi form interpretation of micro novels using a casual writing style. These discussions have enriched and developed the academic and discourse systems of Chinese micro fiction theory.

At the award ceremony, the first edition of "Chinese Micro Novel Review" was also held. This book is edited by the China Microfiction Society and published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House. It is divided into columns on stylistic observation, special topics, insights, oral history, stylistic writing, analysis, communication, literature, and more. A group of active theoretical scholars in the industry describe and summarize the phenomena and laws of micro fiction creation, presenting readers with a broad ecological landscape and clear development context of micro fiction.

"Chinese Micro Novel Review" is one of the "Chinese Good Novel Series" planned, edited, and published by the Chinese Micro Novel Society. It is the first "Review Series" launched after the "Chinese Good Novel · Writer Series" and "Chinese Good Novel · Works Series".

Xia Yiming, President of the China Microfiction Society and Editor in Chief of the Storytelling Society magazine, said, "I believe that the selection of theoretical awards will further activate the atmosphere of micro fiction theory research and promote the high-quality and high-level development of micro fiction theory research."
