On August 17th, the "Home · Country -2023 Shanghai Smart Women's Reading Forum" was held at the Shanghai Mass Art Museum. Outstanding women such as Xi Meijuan, Zhao Lina, Sheng Hong, and Ren Changyan talked freely about their patriotism. The "Stories on the Sea" exhibition and broadcasting activity of the Shanghai Women's Federation has been launched simultaneously. Through the new media platform of the Women's Federation, it tells the struggle and dedication stories of 100 advanced typical representatives, female volunteers, and ordinary women around them in various fields, promoting the urban spirit and character of Shanghai, and reflecting the spirit of the Shanghai women's era.
For over 40 years in the entertainment industry, Xi Meijuan has created numerous popular artistic images in dramas, movies, and TV dramas. In 2022, she portrayed Feng Jizhen, an intellectual woman, in the film Mother!, and won the Golden Rooster Award again for her rich performance. On the 17th forum, Xi Meijuan said that patriotism should not be an empty slogan, but must be reflected in the daily lives of ordinary people, including the daily work of literary and artistic workers. "As literary and artistic workers, with over 40 years of reform and opening up, our generation has witnessed many milestones and the process of reform and opening up, and has recorded this process with our work and artistic works, leaving it in the blueprint of urban development."
After 40 years in the film industry, Xi Meijuan has played many female roles in families: mother, wife, and daughter. She believes that performing arts is about using cultural means to solidify emotions, showcase one family after another, and repair these "smallest social cells".
"My feeling is that even outstanding women of the times are in ordinary positions and have their own families to take care of. Home is the smallest country, and country is millions of households."
Shanghai football player Zhao Lina started playing football at the age of 7 and was selected for the national team in 2015. She has won the quarterfinals of the 2015 Canadian Women's World Cup, the 2016 Rio Olympics, the runner up of the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, and the championship of the 2022 Asian Cup with the team.
She announced her retirement and started the second half of her life as a football promoter. She, together with the China Football Development Foundation and the ByteDance Public Welfare Platform, launched the Planet Plan project, went to 100 schools, and spent five years donating football to schools in remote areas. "Let more people join the Planet Plan, and let girls boldly say to their coaches, 'Coach, I want to play football!'"

Since 2010, Ren Changyan, the General Manager of Shanghai Minlong Industrial Co., Ltd., has been assisting Xinjiang. By providing employment opportunities and purchasing agricultural products, she has driven nearly 20000 farmers to increase their economic income, and has partnered with 20 countries to oversee poverty alleviation efforts in impoverished villages. In 2011, Ren Changyan built a national level jujube planting demonstration base on the edge of the Taklamakan Desert. "The sandy soil is deep and shallow, sinking to the knees. It takes half a day to trek through the 1200 acre jujube orchard from beginning to end. The jujube seeds have just been sown, and to prevent them from being blown away by the wind and sand, we put sandbags of sand and stones next to each seed to prevent wind damage. The jujube seedlings need irrigation, and we queue up at the water gate late at night. Due to the inability of the Tianshan snow and water to meet the jujube orchard's needs, we applied to dig a well, which took another six months. After three years, the desert became an oasis."
