Since the summer vacation, the Shanghai Mass Art Museum has become a good destination for children. The reporter recently visited the new course "Animal and Plant Natural Exploration Experience Course" of "Entering the Gate of Art". The children held magnifying glasses and carefully observed the eyes of lizards, touching their skin. The classroom was filled with laughter and joy.
"Entering the Gate of Art" was founded in 2014. It is a youth art education brand project launched by the City Qun Art Museum during winter and summer vacations, integrating training, exhibitions, lectures, movies, and interactive activities. After nine years of expansion and innovation, it has become a popular activity among parents and children. For example, the "Animal and Plant Natural Exploration Experience Class" leads children to explore real animals and plants, and also takes them to create kaleidoscopes, plant rubbing canvas bags, and paper clip art related to these organisms, building a bridge between natural science and art of life.
The 11 courses of this year's "Walking into the Gate of Art" summer training program, including skipping rope, artistic gymnastics, intangible cultural heritage and ancient art practice activities, baking classes, dinosaur themed pottery and painting courses, involve intangible cultural heritage, sports, nature, technology, and life, enriching children's spiritual world in multiple aspects. Ms. Gao, a citizen, enrolled her child in three classes. She attended a natural exploration experience class in the morning and ballet and creative illustration in the afternoon. "These ten days, the child can be fully 'supported' here, and she can also cultivate her interests in various aspects. I think it's worth it." At the cultural venue, "summer daycare" has become a new fashion for parents.
This summer, the City Qun Art Museum not only planned a dinosaur exhibition that children love, but the small theater on the fourth floor also screened 18 animated films and 14 other feature films and documentaries for teenagers. Doudou's home is near the City Qun Art Museum. This summer, although Doudou's mother did not report her child to work, she often brought her child to the museum. She said she saw recommendations from other parents in the community group, "There are cartoons and dinosaur exhibitions during the day, and many lectures and activities on weekends, all of which are free, but it's difficult to grab." She believes that taking children to watch cartoons and exhibitions during summer vacation is a good way to "escape the heat.".
Xiaoyun's father entered the group art museum after seeing the promotion of the dinosaur exhibition, and "discovered a treasure trove", and then signed up for the summer training class. Some dinosaur chasing children continue to pursue dinosaur themed lectures such as "A dragon in hand is not as good as ten thousand birds in the wild", "Journey of Life - Evolution and Extinction", and can also participate in "Dinosaur Paper Sculpture Interactive Experience Class" and "DIY Puppet Dinosaur Parent Child Interactive Experience Class", as well as summer training courses on dinosaur themed pottery and dinosaur themed picture books. On August 5th, the dinosaur themed postcard market will once again kick off.
At the same time, the other two brands of the City Qun Art Museum, "Citizen Art Classroom" and "Intangible Cultural Heritage Club Living Room", have also joined hands with "Entering the Gate of Art" to launch youth performance programs, guided tours, and handicraft activities. The "Wonderful World" parent-child balloon bubble show, "Magical Fantasy" scientific art experiment guide, and grasshopper cage production have all been welcomed by children. The Akabera Center also launched a lecture on "SACC Parent Child Popular Chorus Club". Over a two month weekend, more than 20 activities enriched the children's summer vacation.
The Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center officially launched the "Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall Student Tour" on the day of "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day", with 25 Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage exhibition halls open to students, families, and the general public throughout the city. Entering the summer season, various exhibition halls have planned a variety of exciting summer special activities, waiting for young students to have close contact with intangible cultural heritage. Activities such as the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience Day City Orientation Competition", "24 Solar Terms' Summer Fun '," Zhuangjing Boat Fist Experience ", and" Grass Weaving Dragonfly Production Experience "take young people to understand intangible cultural heritage and" read "the city. As of the end of July, over 8000 students have registered as members of the "Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall Student Tour" mini program.
Wu Penghong, the director of the Municipal Qun Art Museum and the director of the Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, introduced that "Entering the Gate of Art" has been continuously innovating and expanding since its establishment in 2014. In addition to lectures, activities, and exhibitions, the 11 courses launched in this year's summer training course are all new courses. "Youth art education is a key focus of social art education work, and winter, summer, and weekends are also important stages for carrying out youth art education activities. Our art training courses have moved from pure art to combining with multiple fields such as technology and sports. Different activities and course contents are interrelated and integrated for development. In the future, we hope to do a good job in demonstration and guidance, strengthen urban linkage, and expand teaching locations and courses in more areas starting from next year's winter vacation." Continuously expanding its coverage and encouraging more young people to participate in 'art+' training activities to enhance their aesthetic education literacy
