Chinese athletes achieve excellent results, and the first Sino European Joint Bridge CIAO International Music Competition concludes | Montenegro | International
The 2023 Bridge CIAO International Music Competition has recently concluded, with players from the UK, Serbia, Montenegro, Australia, South Korea, Japan, and China competing fiercely for several days. Master's students Niu Jiawen from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the West Lake Quartet from Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra have achieved good results.
The competition is organized by the Shanghai Association for International Cultural Exchange, the Shanghai Magnolia International Friendship Exchange Foundation, and the Shanghai Center for International Education Exchange in collaboration with professional institutions in Serbia and Montenegro. The Kotor International Art Festival in Montenegro has allocated the largest music hall in Kotor for four consecutive days to be used for the Bridge CIAO International Music Competition, despite the need to host hundreds of consecutive performances and a severe shortage of theater resources. The builders of the black Chinese funded road and bridge construction enterprise came to the competition field to cheer for the contestants. After the competition, all Chinese and foreign people in the venue sang together "Me and My Motherland" and "Friendship Lasts Forever".
Competition judge and Serbian oboe professor Dragan Razak said that he did not have a deep understanding of the level of Chinese instrument education in the past. The on-site situation of this competition proves that the teaching achievements in China have exceeded people's expectations, and the performances of several Chinese players make people unable to help but give them full marks.
Another judge and professor at the Belgrade Conservatory of Music, Dejan Shinadinovi ć, stated that his involvement in the preparation and implementation of the Bridge CIAO International Music Competition was not only due to his father being Serbian and mother being Montenegrin, which gave him a unique emotional attachment to the international music competitions held in Serbia and Montenegro, but also because this competition is the highest level of player quality and the most harmonious and lively atmosphere in Montenegrin history. He, his colleagues, and local music enthusiasts are all looking forward to the continuous and more exciting development of the competition in the Balkan region, playing an irreplaceable role in the exchange of music and art between the Balkan region and China.
