From September 29th to October 6th, the highly anticipated 2023 Chenshan Natural Life Festival will officially return, with its stage design, duration, and cast significantly exceeding previous years. Over the course of 8 days, Chenshan Botanical Garden and Classic 947 will work together to bridge the "last mile" between parent-child interaction and cultural arts. Through 5 major sections, 4 stages, 28 plant science popularization activities, and 50 live music and art performances spanning multiple art fields such as choir, symphony, chamber music, folk music, jazz, folk music, dance, drama, and opera, they will take turns to perform, jointly creating the largest outdoor parent-child carnival in Shanghai.

Chenshan Botanical Garden has a unique natural environment and sound field conditions. The three performance spaces "Echo Chorus · Flower Stage", "Leaf Stage", and "Greenhouse Concert" fully integrate the characteristics of the botanical garden, allowing art to cleverly blend into the natural environment of the botanical garden.
This year, Chenshan Botanical Garden has also carefully crafted a sunflower flower sea of over 10000 square meters and four themed horticultural exhibition areas for the Life Festival.

From September 30th to October 5th, a rich and colorful music will be performed at the Tropical Flower and Fruit Museum. Excellent qin children from all over the country will perform music works that best represent Chinese melodies in their hearts, expressing their love and blessings for their motherland; Pianists Chai Qiongyan, Jacob Charles, and Peter Thomas will present a unique piano concert with their students, using AR new technology to lead the audience into a magical world of biological resurrection; The young performers will also bring the "Fantasy Garden in the Afternoon" New Century Concert, which adopts the trendy forest style and fresh natural style, accompanied by the sound of wind and waterfall in the greenhouse, allowing the audience to experience a dual enjoyment of visual and auditory in the tropical rainforest.

Performers of the New Classical Duet, Magic Voice Harmonica Orchestra, and Heart Sound Ensemble will ride on the customized environmentally friendly electric scooter at Chenshan Botanical Garden to embark on a float art parade. Along the way, they will pass through the four major themed horticultural exhibition areas and bring wonderful music in front of the iconic landscape. Musicians will play the "Song like Andante" before the colorful autumn flower sea, bring interesting animated theme songs in the melon and fruit landscape, and also bring "Chatting Polka" in front of the brightly colored and enthusiastic cockscomb flowers.

This year, the Flower Stage of the Life Festival has turned its attention to the art form of choir, which has a long history and a broad public base. It is jointly presented by the classic 947 and the well-known choir art brand "Echo Chorus" with the support of the Shanghai Science and Technology Art Education Center.
On October 1st, Echo Youth Choir and Fudan University Echo Choir will take the lead in singing songs such as "Four Rhymes of Homesickness", "Forever Companion in This Life", "One Hundred Years of Watching", and "I Love You China" with the theme of "I Love You China", wishing our motherland a happy 74th birthday.
In the afternoon, the Spring Youth Choir of Huangpu District Youth Activity Center will bring the first performance of the "I am a Little Flower" series together with the Hua'er Duoduo Choir of Shanghai Sixth Normal School Affiliated Primary School. The children will sing familiar nursery rhyme songs, popular folk song adaptations, and innovative and popular Chinese original choir works in recent years.

Popular songs such as "Xuan Cao Hua", "Chrysanthemum Terrace", "Sitting with You", "Courage", and "Slowly Liking You" will be performed by the holiday choir at the concert on October 5th.

The "947 Audiovisual Stage" and "Leaf Stage" located near Gate 1 at the Chenshan Center Small Theater are both newly opened performance stages for this Life Festival. Among them, the "947 Audiovisual Stage" is the longest and most rich stage of this Life Festival, running through the entire Golden Week of National Day, with a total of 23 exciting concerts at home and abroad. Visitors are welcome to stop here, lay out picnic mats, and immerse themselves in the beauty of music.
Every day from 12:15 to 13:45 noon, the stage first welcomes the offline premiere of two exclusive video guided programs, "947 Philharmonic Hall: European Live" and "Dawn Music Time", from Baishi Tong. Hosts Zhou Jie and Chenxi will review the live performances of multiple overseas famous artists and groups from 2002 to 2015 through simple and easy to understand explanations, and appreciate the charm of world-class musicians such as Valery Djeyev, Charles Ditois, and Claudio Abado.

From 16:30 to 18:00 in the evening, "947 Audiovisual Stage" will select live videos of 5 Chenshan Grassland Radio Music Festivals from 2018 to 2023, as well as 2 performances by top international ballet companies. The once scarce "Voice of Vienna", "Voice of Rhine", and "Romantic Night of France" are once again presented to the audience in a new form.
The "Leaf Stage", which is linked to the "947 Audiovisual Stage", emphasizes more diversity and integration. Jazz musicians, pop bands, folk singers, and classical chamber bands will collide with the natural sounds of nature here to create new sparks.
It is reported that this year's Life Festival will be presented by Shanghai Meilin, and with the support of the Huashan 263 time-honored brand museum, we will jointly create a Shanghai time-honored food market.
