Can "Extreme Shock" impress the audience?, Another Immersive Performance by Hua Immersive | Wayra | Extreme
Actors run at full speed on a huge treadmill, breaking through a series of moving "walls"... Another immersive performance, "Extreme Shock Wayra," has recently settled at the China Shipbuilding Museum at the Shanghai World Expo, launching a China tour. After the Shanghai station ends on August 13th, it will shift to Beijing.
"Extreme Shock" was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2003 and made its debut on Broadway in 2005. It has a history of nearly 20 years and has traveled to 58 cities in 34 countries with over 6000 performances. The organizer stated that "Extreme Shock" had toured China many years ago and, after careful planning and preparation, returned to China this year, making Shanghai the first stop for its return.

Compared to the past, the "Extreme Shock" China tour has been fully upgraded to become the "Extreme Shock Wayra", allowing audiences to immerse themselves in 360 degree wonders. As an immersive show that gathers various forms, "Extreme Shock Wayra" includes singing and dancing, stunts, installation art, and more. Cool devices such as giant transparent water screen stages and treadmills help actors come to the audience in various unimaginable ways.
There is no fixed stage or seat for a 60 minute performance, and the audience stands and can change their position at any time. The actors sometimes twist their bodies lightly in the transparent glass pool above the audience, and sometimes hover in mid air, surrounded by a huge ocean of polyester film. In lighting and music rendering, film, water, stage equipment, and human performance create a visual show that combines speed, power, and art.

The production team expressed that they hope the audience can feel that the actors are portraying heroic characters or characters they cannot achieve, and have the impulse to participate. Therefore, the fixed seating viewing method is abandoned throughout the venue, and the audience can immerse themselves in the interactive performance in a 360 degree surround space.
