Starting from this weekend until the end of August, nearly 20 cultural and museum venues, including the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai History Museum, World Expo Museum, and Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Hall, will extend their opening hours during the summer and bring a "Museum Wonderful Night" that combines exhibitions, cultural and creative activities, lectures, handicraft experiences, salons, concerts, and other activities.

In the scorching summer, it is a time of urban night economy prosperity, and at this time, museums have become a new scene for citizens to consume cultural and tourism.
The "Museum Wonderful Night" held on summer weekend evenings will include extending opening hours, holding special exhibitions and educational activities, creating new styles of cross-border integrated cultural and tourism, and new consumption scenes. At the same time, discounts on cultural and creative products will be launched to allow visitors to experience a comprehensive museum wonderful night of "exhibition+activities+cultural and creative+social+life". Compared to usual, in this year's Museum Wonderful Night event, there are more diverse types of venues to participate in, including state-owned and private museums, urban and suburban museums, revolutionary, artistic, and historical museums. The forms of activities are also more diverse, not simply extending the opening hours, but introducing experiential activities such as puppetry performances, parent-child handicraft classes, lecture salons, concerts, and food festivals in addition to exhibitions. In conjunction with the "Van Gogh Reproduction" immersive light and shadow exhibition, the World Expo Museum will launch supporting art appreciation activities and parent-child handicraft classes. It is worth mentioning that the former residences of celebrities in Shanghai will also open their doors at night to attract more visitors. On the evening of August 8th, the Shanghai Song Qingling Former Residence Memorial Hall will hold its first night event, bringing a wonderful night of 1843. "The stairs inside the former residence are relatively narrow, and the lighting is also dim. In addition, located next to the popular landmark Wukang Building, we will try to launch a parent-child tour." Deputy curator Gong Jiejing introduced that this is the first time in over 40 years since the establishment of the Song Qingling Former Residence Memorial Hall that we have attempted to organize a night event. In the "Red Mansion Soul Casting" event, 16 revolutionary venues in this city will bring 28 activities, transforming revolutionary sites, ruins, and venues into classrooms. Through various forms such as visits, lectures, Q&A, recitation, handicrafts, role-playing, board games, micro video production, and drama training, more young people will enter revolutionary venues, understand the glorious history of the Party, be immersed in the ideological baptism and spiritual cultivation, and build a solid foundation of faith. The "Red Course Setting Sail" activity consists of 15 courses from 13 revolutionary venues in this city.
