Trains "enter" the community to celebrate National Day
Last weekend, the "Beijing Railway Garden" in Xicheng District, Beijing was crowded with people. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the "Strong Transportation Country, Charming Railway" theme exhibition opened, and more than 1,000 old railway-related objects, exhibits, and models will be exhibited here until the end of the National Day holiday.
At the opening ceremony, the organizers of the exhibition invited Chen Fuhan, the seventh driver of the "Mao Zedong" locomotive, who is 89 years old, and the current driver and crew of the "Mao Zedong" locomotive to interact with the audience and talk about the past, present and future of China's railways.
Zhao Xianghong, Secretary General of the Railway Culture Committee of the China Collectors Association, introduced that this exhibition specially introduced a small train from the "Tangshan Upstream" scenic spot. The train "entered" the railway community, providing children who came to visit with an interesting opportunity to play the role of a little driver. The organizer also provided an interpreter to introduce the history and characteristics of the steam locomotive to the audience, adding more interactivity.
The "train photos" taken by young train fans from all over the country and the "train illustrations" they drew are also a highlight of this exhibition. "The composition and colors of these photos and illustrations are very interesting. Through them, I can feel the love and enthusiasm of these train fans for trains," said a visitor.
The "Most Beautiful Train in China" mask wall created by the famous train painter Miao Yu was also unveiled at this exhibition. This mask wall consists of dozens of train paintings and has become one of the most popular "check-in" spots for visitors.
In addition, the exhibition also provides various cultural and creative products containing railway elements, such as train models, railway postal products, railway-themed commemorative card albums, etc., which are very popular among visitors.
